CYNTHIA ROSA SOLIS

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Life presents us with a myriad of challenges that can leave us feeling isolated. Many of us believe (or behave) as though we have to face our challenges alone. Perhaps you struggle with tolerating uncertainty, struggling to maintain a sense of joy, or feel unsure about major life decisions. Therapy is a space where you can safely and freely explore your values, your wants, and your needs. It is a space to say the things out loud that are rattling in our minds, the thoughts that might perpetuate feelings of shame and guilt. Research shows that naming our emotions tends to decrease the intensity of the emotion and lessen the burden they create.

With compassion and warmth, I focus on helping clients gain insight into their emotions, identify behavioral patterns, explore how their past may have shaped their current behaviors, assess decision making techniques, executive functioning skills, and more. I lean into Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, including Internal Family Systems. I tailor the modalities I use based on my clients individual needs. I believe that with a deeper understanding of yourself can open the door for healing, healthier relationships, increased happiness, and confidence.

I work with adults and adolescents and offer both in-person and virtual sessions via Zoom. In addition, I also offer executive functioning coaching (separate from psychotherapy) to address personal and professional challenges, improve organizational skills, develop new habits, support with follow through, and provide accountability.

Together, with you as the expert, we can co-create a nonjudgemental space that encompasses inspiration, humor, passion, acceptance, and a willingness to make the change you want to see.
